Terms of Service

Welcome to Guidevoy. By creating an account or using the Guidevoy application (“Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Guidevoy is a family productivity application that connects to email, calendar, and school management systems to extract tasks, events, and deadlines. The Service uses artificial intelligence to process communications and organize information for families with children.
Guidevoy is intended for use by parents and legal guardians managing their children's activities. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
2. Accounts and Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Ensuring that any co-parent or invited user you add is authorized to access your family's data
- Providing accurate information when setting up your account and family profile
You must notify us immediately at support@guidevoy.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
3. Co-Parent Access
The account owner (the person who created the family) may invite one co-parent. Co-parents have read access to the family's schedule and data but cannot complete or dismiss tasks, modify children's profiles, manage billing, or invite additional users. The account owner may revoke co-parent access at any time.
By inviting a co-parent, you acknowledge that they will have access to all family data in the account, including email-derived tasks and children's information.
4. Connected Services
When you connect Gmail, Canvas LMS, or other third-party services, you authorize Guidevoy to access and store data from those services on your behalf. You represent that you have the right to grant that access.
You may disconnect any integration at any time from Settings. Previously synced data will remain in your account until you delete it or close your account.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access another user's account or data
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service
- Upload malicious content or attempt to disrupt the Service
- Use the Service to process data for which you lack authorization
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service
6. Subscriptions and Billing
Guidevoy offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Prices are shown in the app and on our website.
- Cancellation: You may cancel at any time from Settings → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds: We do not offer partial-period refunds, but if you experience a billing error contact us within 30 days.
- Price changes: We will give at least 30 days' notice before raising prices on existing subscribers.
7. AI-Generated Content
Guidevoy uses AI to extract and summarize information from your communications. AI processing is automated and may occasionally produce incorrect, incomplete, or miscategorized results. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated tasks and events before acting on them.
The Service does not provide professional advice — educational, medical, financial, or legal. Nothing in the Service constitutes a professional recommendation.
8. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Intellectual Property
The Guidevoy application, brand, and all associated software and content are owned by Guidevoy and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any license to the Guidevoy brand or software beyond the right to use the Service as described.
You retain ownership of all data you provide to the Service (your family information, email content, etc.). You grant Guidevoy a limited license to process that data solely to provide the Service.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GUIDEVOY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ALL DATA WILL BE ACCURATELY EXTRACTED.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GUIDEVOY'S LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CAUSE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. GUIDEVOY IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING MISSED DEADLINES, LOST DATA, OR RELIANCE ON AI-EXTRACTED INFORMATION.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to other users or the Service. We will give advance notice where practicable. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy → Delete Account.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
